Julius Aurelio

Julius was appointed to the post of Audit Manager in June 2016 having joined the Office in 2008. In August 2021, Julius took on responsibility for leading Quality Assurance and IT in the OAG. Before that, from 2016-2021, he was the Audit Manager in the Performance Audit practice where he was responsible for managing performance audits and the ongoing development of the performance audit practice. He also has responsibilities for managing financial audits of government ministries and agencies and manages key aspects of the Office’s IT infrastructure including the Caseware audit application. With over 18 years of professional accounting and consulting experience, Julius previously worked for KPMG in the Philippines and Deloitte Cayman.

Julius is a Certified Public Accountant and has also obtained his designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He has Diploma in International Public Sector Accounting Standards, and Certificate in International Auditing (ISAs). He contributes to the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants as a member of the training and social committees. Julius enjoys his community by volunteering with his church and leading group activities.
